Animator Actions

v1.0

Set Animator Trigger Action

Activates a trigger parameter on the Animator to initiate a one-time state transition. Triggers automatically reset after being consumed by the state machine.

Here we add a ScaleAction and SpinAction to add a bit more juicy to the jump animation. More actions... more juice!

Play Animator State Action

Instantly transitions the Animator to a specific state in a specified layer. Useful for triggering specific animations directly without using triggers or parameters.

Rebind Animator Action

Rebinds the Animator component to refresh its internal cache and update bone references. Essential after runtime changes to the skeleton or when swapping character meshes.

Set Animator Bool Action

Sets a boolean parameter on the Animator to control state machine transitions. Supports setting to true, false, or toggling the current value.

Set Animator Layer Weight Action

This action animates the weight of a specific Animator layer, allowing you to smoothly blend animation layers in and out. Layer weights range from 0 (no influence) to 1 (full influence), with values outside this range supported for special effects. The transition can be smoothed using various easing curves, making it ideal for blending upper body animations over locomotion or gradually revealing overlay animations.

Set Animator Value Action

Sets or smoothly animates a float or integer parameter on the Animator over time. Supports both instant assignment and gradual transitions with easing curves.
