# Post Processing Actions

Post Processing <mark style="color:yellow;">Actions</mark> control Unity's URP Volume Profile effects to create cinematic visuals, environmental moods, and dynamic camera effects. These actions target Volume components and can animate or instantly change effects like bloom, depth of field, color grading, and more.

{% hint style="info" %}
Each of these will require a "Volume" object. If one is not provided, the <mark style="color:yellow;">Action</mark> will search for a cached one on the <mark style="color:yellow;">Action Blackboard</mark>. If not found, it will search for one in the scene — if that is found the <mark style="color:yellow;">Action</mark> will cache it, so that future instances do not need to perform the more expensive search.
{% endhint %}

## Bloom

### Set Bloom Intensity Action

Animates the bloom intensity value to create pulsing glow effects around bright objects. Higher values produce stronger, more pronounced glows that can emphasize light sources, magical effects, or energy-based visuals.

<figure><img src="/files/UIfQXuhQBLAP5kXlV29N" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Set Bloom Clamp Action

Sets the maximum bloom intensity limit to control how bright the glow effect can become. Prevents overly bright bloom from washing out the scene while maintaining artistic control over the brightest highlights.

### Set Bloom Tint Action

Applies a color tint to bloom glow, useful for creating colored light halos or magical auras. Can be animated to shift glow colors dynamically, such as transitioning from warm to cool tones during day/night cycles.

<figure><img src="/files/mByQbYL5uFqVobPeYggO" alt=""><figcaption><p>This includes 3 color examples, while the Threshold and Intensity are also increased.</p></figcaption></figure>

### Set Bloom Threshold Action

Adjusts the luminance threshold that determines which pixels bloom. Lower thresholds make more of the scene glow, while higher values limit bloom to only the brightest elements for more selective, focused glow effects.

<figure><img src="/files/qFLBfa3IPyRIqX2wHZ4h" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Set Bloom Scatter Action

Controls how far bloom spreads from bright areas, affecting the size and diffusion of the glow effect. Higher scatter values create softer, more expansive halos that blend into the surrounding scene.

### Randomize Bloom Action

Continuously randomizes bloom parameters within specified ranges to create dynamic, pulsing glow effects. Great for flickering magical effects, unstable energy sources, or atmospheric environmental variations.

<figure><img src="/files/vP2paV8uwaU2742FDk1j" alt=""><figcaption><p>This example randomizes the Intensity, Threshold, and Tint</p></figcaption></figure>

## Color Grading

<figure><img src="/files/XTqUMx8NW4JIlyFjGYQZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Set Depth Of Field Aperture Action
