# Updating UI (and more) with Blackboard Notes

This tutorial demonstrates how an object can automatically subscribe to the [**Main Blackboard**](/magic-pig-games/game-modules-4/module-documentation/blackboard/blackboard.cs.md) and listen for notifications. We will update our "Health" ([**Stat**](/magic-pig-games/game-modules-4/module-documentation/stats-and-skills/stat.cs.md)) UI whenever the player health changes.

Once the simple setup is done, everything is automatic.
